RISE

RISE is a project aimed at raising awareness and supporting women facing issues that threaten their mental health in the workplace, such as injustice, labor exploitation, harassment, bullying, etc., thereby empowering and encouraging women's contributions in the workplace.

Vì sao RISE ra đời?

According to Deloitte's Women @ Work report published in April 2023, mental health is a top concern for women in the workplace, especially under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, many women feel they do not receive adequate mental health support from their employers, and many feel uncomfortable discussing their mental health challenges at work. More than four out of ten (44%) women reported having experienced harassment and/or bullying, but more than half of those who experienced such behavior did not feel comfortable reporting it to their employers, instead enduring it in silence.

Faced with this reality, the idea for RISE was born – a project to raise awareness and support women in dealing with issues that threaten their mental health in the workplace, such as injustice, labor exploitation, harassment, bullying, etc., thereby empowering and encouraging women's contributions in the workplace.

The project focuses on building effective communication channels and organizing events to provide useful information on the topic, while also building a network connecting experts and organizations (in the fields of psychology, law, women's empowerment, labor organizations, etc.) to provide first aid, counseling, and support to women who need help when facing difficulties at work that affect their mental health.

What is RISE's goal?

RISE aims to achieve sustainable development goals including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). RISE aims to have a minimum of 50 experts participating in the RISE network, reaching 100,000 people and directly supporting approximately 500 people each year.

How does RISE work?

Raising awareness about women's mental health in the workplace:

● Share information, knowledge, and stories about the importance and impact of women's mental health in the workplace.

● Identify signs and ways to prevent or address issues that threaten women's mental health in the workplace, such as injustice, abuse, harassment, bullying, etc.

● Provide information about the legal rights and support available from organizations and networks for female workers to empower and encourage them to proactively speak up, protect themselves, and seek help when needed.

- To build and develop a network of experts to provide first aid, counseling, and support to women who need help with mental health issues in the workplace:

● To build a network of reputable experts in the fields of psychology, labor law, women's empowerment, human resource management, personal development, etc., to advise and support women facing difficulties in the workplace that directly or indirectly affect their mental health.

● Activate a hotline so that people in need of help can contact RISE immediately in case of an emergency.
